Create simulated environments for stakeholder interaction

Generative AI tools can be used in the classroom for students to play out many real-world scenarios and test the ideas/ impact of their decisions. Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT can be prompted to take on the role of different stakeholders from unique cultural backgrounds or clients with different personas for students from management and marketing fields to practice communication skills, idea pitch, or even the impact of their decisions on different stakeholders.

Assessment Description: 
In this virtual communication scenario, students dive into a simulated interaction with ChatGPT, embodying the character of a remote employee. The task at hand is to tackle specific communication hurdles previously pinpointed. Students embark on a journey of crafting a profile for this remote employee, detailing aspects like job title, years of experience, cultural background, language proficiency, and other pertinent information. Drawing inspiration from the company analysed in Assessment 1, students prompt ChatGPT to step into the shoes of this remote employee, addressing the identified challenge at the company's overseas subsidiary. Meanwhile, students take on the pivotal role of team leader at the company's headquarters. Throughout the exercise, students engage in dynamic and substantive conversations with ChatGPT, simulating at least 5 attempts to navigate towards a meaningful solution. The goal is to ensure that the derived solutions not only align with the situational context of the challenge but also resonate with the broader organisational framework.

The ability for students to experience different contexts, which they may not be able to do so quickly in the classroom.

Assessment instructions for greater clarity; rubrics on the simulated interaction.

Ensure that the task is aligned with your learning objectives/outcomes. Students need to see the connection of using generative AI and how it integrates with their curriculum.
